Hygiene

More than 64 million Americans have gum disease. While periodontitis can’t be cured, it can be treated. This helps protect your oral health while allowing you to live a happy, healthy life.

what to expect from a hygiene appointment

The kind of hygiene appointment you need will vary depending on the current state of your oral health. We will likely need to perform one or more of the following procedures:

    Full Mouth Debridgement

We may also recommend LANAP laser treatment or soft tissue grafting.

Once that’s done, you will then need periodontal maintenance cleanings, typically once every three months. These cleanings are more detailed than regular cleanings. Along with removing tartar both above and below your gumline, we’ll also check for gum pockets.
